daffodilsIn times of anxiety because of the unknown, a friend offering help is far better than loneliness and silence.

To hopefully shed some light into these shadowy times we thought a hub that brought together all the local information, offers of help and requests for help would be useful.

We are in it together so let us talk and help each other through.

Email us at contacthub@petertavyparishcouncil.org to put requests for help or information forward, or to offer a service.

If you know of someone who does not have computer / internet access, but would benefit from having this list, please contact us and we’ll provide a paper copy or telephone them.

Thank you to all who have offered assistance in whatever form. It is really appreciated.

    Befriending by phone:
We are very mindful of those self-isolating and missing the very natural activity of communication!

While most will have computers, there are some in the Parish who do not. And even with  access to social media, the friendly voice of a local can be welcome!

If you would like someone to call you we do have a list of people who are willing to be a phone ‘buddy’.  Please let us know, (we will not pass out your number unless you ask us to). OR contact us if you would be willing to be a “phone befriender”.

    Email us at contacthub@petertavyparishcouncil.org.

  • Help with Children’s Education

The following people have very generously offered to help and advise on education issues:

    Linzi – ( primary school teacher) linzimpearce@gmail.com 07583 065200

    Clare – (primary school teacher) clarebalm@gmail.com 0771 7183096 or 810663.
I am happy to help children R-Y6 (or their parents) with questions, resources or ideas by telephone or email.

    Annie – (secondary school) anniebobco@aol.com  07970 704556
I understand that teachers will be sending work home and publishing online resources. Many parents may find the terminology daunting, and I do understand how many will be unable to help children with school work they have not seen since they left school.  I would therefore like to make myself available for parents to give help to their children in completing tasks.
