Messy Church in Peter TavyOn 1st Thursday of the month,  Messy Church meets at 4.30pm until 6.30pm for songs, prayers, bible readings, games, crafts and FUN! We always finish with a two course meal together.

This month is slightly different, but while we’re having fun doing the crafts, we can think about the others who usually attend, and hopefully through whatsapp or zoom later in the week we can see what each has made and keep in touch.

We are nearly at the end of Lent. Whatever you gave up, or decided to do for the 40 days, comes to an end. But there is much more to tell of the Easter story.

Over the next 10 days we will endeavour to make, bake and share different parts of the story, learning more of Jesus’s love and commitment to each of us. There is even a competition with prizes!!! Keep watching this website for more information……….

Today’s Craft Activity…

The craft today is making an Easter tree. This is in preparation for some of the makes and bakes to hang from.

Step 1. Find a large pot, fill with stones and soil. Pot for your tree
Step2. Go for a walk or  look in the  garden for some branches.  Branches with many twiggy bits on are best. branch for your tree
Step3. Push branch /s into soil and make firm.

We will make decorations during the week, so don’t worry if it looks a little bare… Watch out on the website tomorrow for the first stag in making decorations!

Easter tree
Step 4: find suitable place for it to stand until Easter over.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below.
Praise Him above, ye heavenly hosts,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen.
