‘Prayer is an act that seeks to activate a rapport with through deliberate communication’. ‘A solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God’.

Jesus taught his disciples a prayer, that has passed down the generations to us. It can be found in Matthew 5: 6-13

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

After Jesus had entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, Jesus tells His disciples to Pray. Pray that they will be strong enough to face all the things that lay ahead, ( Jesus knew what would happen  what he and all believers faced) and that they would be able to stand before God. ( Luke 22 verse 36.

Step back to Vintage Communication!

We have the telephone, social media and emails to keep in touch with people, and then there is letter /card writing too. A personal greeting , and even more so when made by yourself.

Today we are making cards……. There are so many different ideas on cards, what is important is that it is made with the recipient in mind, sending them love, letting them know they are in our thoughts and that we care for them.

Below are a couple of ideas… we would love to see your makes! Send pictures through to contacthub@petertavyparishcouncil.org and we can make a gallery of activities!!
